With a bright smile and positive energy that radiates everywhere, Phan Việt Mỹ, L&D (Learning & Development) at SVTECH (VP HCMC), has had a year full of breakthroughs on her journey towards “Excellence.”
1: Never Hesitant to “Stand in Front” More
Ms. Việt Mỹ has always been a familiar “trainer” for SVTECHers in HCMC during Onboarding sessions or company culture training. Not limiting her abilities, Ms. Mỹ constantly strives to improve herself, learn, and seek advice from more experienced colleagues to confidently “stand in front” more, offering additional soft skills training to her peers.
“To me, ‘Excel’ simply means continuous improvement, enhancing the quality of my work to contribute all I can and create more value for the organization,” Ms. Mỹ shared.
2: Finding Motivation from “Small Wins”
To keep herself motivated to “Excel,” Ms. Mỹ shared an interesting tip: she enjoys celebrating “small wins.” “When more people attend the training, when they’re happier, more excited, and when they leave feedback praising the sessions, or most recently in a thank-you video for the Core Coach team at the company where everyone mentioned my name… those are all small wins that are extremely encouraging and motivate me to keep striving,” she confided.
Indeed, to “Excel,” we also need “real motivation,” right?
3: “Expanding Into New Areas”
Another “limit” that Ms. Mỹ has broken recently is her confidence in stepping into event management, acting as an MC, and hosting internal company events. Year-End Parties, Sports Days, Team-building in 2023… these are all events where Ms. Mỹ left a significant mark in organizing them.
Ms. Mỹ also shared that thanks to encouragement from her managers and colleagues, she confidently stepped out of her comfort zone. “Stepping out, experiencing, and giving my best” are the key phrases that she cherishes and are undoubtedly the secrets behind her ability to “Excel” as she does today.
